I am a professor in the Department for Computer Science (ICTEAM/INGI) at the Université catholique de Louvain where I lead the research group on the Security and Performance of Networked Systems at UCLouvain. Before coming to UCLouvain, I worked in the Distributed and Embedded Systems group at Aalborg University and at the chair Design and Analysis of Communication Systems of the University of Twente.

My research interests include the security and performance of networked systems, especially of the Internet of Things and of Industrial Control Networks (ICS/SCADA). In my research group, we design new machine-learned based techniques to detect and protect against attacks, and we use model-based approaches to improve the security and performance of such systems. Our specialty is recovering high-level semantic information (such as process logic) from low-level observations. You can find an up-to-date list of my publications on Google Scholar.
