In 2023, Marie Lonfils received her Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in « Cryptography and Information Security  » and « Networks and Security » from UCLouvain.

She recently joined the research team led by Professor Axel Legay to pursue a Ph.D. in the field of cybersecurity. Her research focuses on the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques for the analysis and detection of malware. In particular, she is interested in exploring federated learning approaches deployed for malware classification, based on symbolic execution of programs.
